During Lockdown

We are getting close to the £100,000 mark of total raised to date – we still have a way to go before we reach £1million target. However, if this is what Lions can achieve during a pandemic then I have no doubt that as lockdown eases and things begin to go back to normal that we as a Nation of Lions and with the support from our communities, we WILL reach our target!

Here are some successes during the lockdown period:

Over £2,000 raised from Virtual Quiz’s on Facebook live since Lockdown began and over £1,000 raised from virtual Monthly Bingo Night’s over Zoom – Every 3rd Sat of the month – please email franstary@lionsclubs.co.uk for more information.

Whalley & District Lions Club - £700 Table Top Sale

Post convention dinner - £700

Southwell Lions Club 6,500 mile virtual walk around Britain Challenge - £1,937

Wimborne & Ferndown Lions Club – Virtual Quiz - £170

Adur East Lions Club – Artisans’ Market

Gillingham Mere & Shaftesbury Lions Club – Wear A Hat Day

Coventry Mercia Lions Club – Sponsored Bike Ride - £7,777

On top of this a number of clubs have donated funds towards the appeal – we thank all the clubs who have supported us especially during these difficult times.
